Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role located in Kalyan. The Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing visual problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and identifying eye conditions that may require further medical treatment. Additional responsibilities include guiding patients in selecting appropriate eyewear, educating them on eye health, and maintaining accurate patient records. Collaboration with ophthalmologists and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care is a key aspect of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting vision tests, refraction, and comprehensive eye examinations
- Knowledge of diagnosing and managing common eye conditions, including refractive errors and glaucoma
- Experience with various diagnostic instruments and modern optometric tools
- Strong patient communication and education skills, including the ability to guide patients in selecting appropriate corrective lenses
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Capability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and refer patients when necessary
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry is required
- Registration with a recognized Optometry or Healthcare Council is an advantage
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred
