About the role
A QA (Quality Assurance) Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products before they are released to the public. The role typically involves testing software applications to identify bugs, issues, and inconsistencies to ensure that the final product is user-friendly, reliable, and meets all specified requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
* Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs and ensure product quality.
* Collaborate with developers to identify, report, and resolve defects.
* Conduct performance, security, and regression testing.
* Maintain documentation of test processes, results, and best practices.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium.
* Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
* Experience with performance testing tools like J Meter or Load Runner.
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for test automation.
* Exposure to security testing practices and tools.
