About the role
Optimizely is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Data Analyst to join the central Data Services Team. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing to collect, measure, visualize and interpret data. You will specialise in turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and supply strategic reporting, including: quarterly summaries, monthly trends, week-over-week analysis, and daily reporting
- Assist with trend reporting on data inaccuracies to help operations leadership in seeking to understand root causes
- Assist with implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources (including data from 3rd Party partner's systems) and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Uses data patterns and trends to root cause operational gaps and inefficiency, develop solutions in collaboration with teams.
- Work with the business to prioritize business and information needs.
- Identify process and system gaps, and highlight areas for optimization/automation with the goal of driving projects to improve these areas.
Knowledge and Experience
- 2+ years working experience as a data analyst
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and databases (SQL etc)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Engineering experience with stored procedures (good to have).
