About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated OPT Sourcing Specialist with strong expertise in sourcing qualified OPT candidates from universities and related networks across the US. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in US staffing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong candidate pipelines for various IT requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source OPT candidates from universities, job portals, referrals, social media, networking groups, and internal databases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international students and university networks.
- Identify qualified candidates based on technology requirements, visa status, and client expectations.
- Conduct initial screening and assess communication, technical background, and eligibility.
- Maintain and update candidate databases, trackers, and sourcing reports regularly.
- Coordinate with recruiters, account managers, and training teams for smooth onboarding and marketing processes.
- Ensure a continuous pipeline of OPT candidates across various technologies.
- Stay updated with market trends, visa regulations, and sourcing strategies related to OPT/CPT hiring.
- Utilize platforms such as TechFetch, LinkedIn, Dice, Indeed, university groups, and other sourcing channels effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in OPT/CPT sourcing within the US staffing industry.
- Strong understanding of OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, EAD, and related visa processes.
- Proven experience sourcing candidates directly from universities and student networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong convincing and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience working with US recruiters and clients.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable working in US shift timings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network/database of OPT candidates and university contacts.
- Experience working with training and placement organizations.
- Knowledge of IT technologies and current market demands.
- Prior experience handling candidate onboarding and documentation processes.
