Role:
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with FinOps experience to develop scalable backend systems, integrate cloud cost optimization workflows, and work closely with FinOps teams to automate cost governance and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Backend Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services.
Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for cost optimization and cloud management
solutions.
Optimize database queries and ensure high availability of backend systems.
FinOps & DevOps Integration:
Work closely with FinOps and CloudOps teams to implement cost optimization best practices.
Develop tools to track, analyze, and optimize cloud costs (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Build automation for cost anomaly detection, budgeting, and forecasting.
Develop integrations with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing APIs.
Requirements:
Infrastructure & Automation:
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
Improve CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments in Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
Automate monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Programming: Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Golang (at least one).
Databases: Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP .
FinOps/Cloud Cost Optimization: Experience working with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost
Management, GCP Billing APIs, or FinOps tools like CloudHealth, Apptio, or Kubecost.
Kubernetes & Containers: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
4+ yrs of experience with tech companieice-to-Have Skills:
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of scripting for cost optimization automation (Python, Bash, or Terraform scripts).
Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, FinOps Certified Practitioner, or Google
Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
