Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ophthalmologist role based at Shree Parshvanath Jain Hospital in Beawar. The Ophthalmologist will provide comprehensive eye care services, including outpatient consultations, diagnosis and management of ocular conditions, and follow-up care. Daily responsibilities include performing detailed eye examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and recommending corrective lenses or other interventions as appropriate. The role involves conducting minor and major ophthalmic procedures, participating in surgical lists, and using laser technology where clinically indicated. The Ophthalmologist will collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other medical professionals, maintain accurate medical records, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and participate in patient education and community eye health initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in clinical Medicine with the ability to manage systemic conditions related to eye health.
- Advanced expertise in Ophthalmology, including diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of ocular diseases.
- Practical experience in Optometry-related assessments, such as refraction, visual acuity testing, and prescribing corrective lenses.
- Proficiency in ophthalmic Surgery, including common procedures such as cataract and anterior segment surgeries.
- Hands-on experience with Laser treatments in ophthalmology, such as laser procedures for glaucoma or retinal conditions.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed specialization in Ophthalmology (MS/MD/DNB or equivalent) and valid medical registration.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital protocols and national clinical guidelines.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting, especially in community-focused or high-volume eye care services, is beneficial.
