Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ophthalmologist role based at Indus Jaipur Hospital in Jaipur. The Ophthalmologist will provide comprehensive eye care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and emergency eye assessments. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, prescribing treatments and corrective lenses, and performing ophthalmic procedures and surgeries as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine, including clinical diagnosis, patient assessment, and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Advanced expertise in Ophthalmology, with proficiency in managing a wide range of ocular diseases and visual disorders.
- Skills in Optometry-related practices, such as refraction, prescription of corrective lenses, and assessment of visual acuity.
- Competence in Laser-based ophthalmic procedures, including use of laser technologies for therapeutic and corrective treatments.
- Surgical skills in Ophthalmology and related Surgery, including cataract and other common eye surgeries, with safe operative and post-operative management.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MS/MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration.
- Previous experience in hospital-based ophthalmic practice; experience in a multispecialty or tertiary care setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, adhere to clinical protocols, and contribute to quality and safety standards.
