Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operator at Caterpillar India Private Limited, based in Chennai. The Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery, performing routine maintenance checks, and adhering to safety and operational protocols. They will collaborate with team members, monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure adherence to production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating industrial and heavy machinery with proficiency in operating equipment like loaders, dump trucks, or cold planers.
- Basic understanding of machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow operational procedures and production schedules with strong attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills, with a focus on collaboration and efficient workflow.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or construction environment will be an advantage.
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machinery operation is preferred.
