About SDG Diversified Fund :
SDG Diversified Fund, being set up by Seva Tarang Foundation, is a first-of-its-kind Fund. It is registered with SEBI as a Category 1 AIF.
The objective of the Fund is to invest in not-for-profit social organizations by way of subscription to issues on Social Stock Exchange, participation in innovative financing structures including Blended Finance and Catalytic Capital.
Amounts to be invested will be non-returnable and will deliver only social returns and no financial returns.
The Fund will be governed by an independent Advisory Board and Investment Committee.
Job Profile :
The role involves good understanding of financing models and arrangements especially for Projects. Blended finance structures involve multiple players like Risk lender, Outcome funder, Impact assessor. Such structures typically involve finer design elements like risk guarantees, cost sweeteners, outcome definition and measurement, etc. The job requires basic knowledge and experience to understand and evaluate these in the given structures.
The role also involves interactions with other participants in the transactions and evaluating their suitability.
The incumbent is expected to have extremely good communication skills in English (spoken and written), ability to present the transaction to the Investment Committee and seek their approval.
Interpersonal skills to create and maintain relationships with other players and stakeholders, non-profit organizations is an essential pre-requisite.
Education / Experience :
- Management graduate in Finance from a well-known college, Chartered Accountant.
- Preferably some experience or exposure to Social sector.
- At least 7-10 years’ experience in financial structuring, fund raising, evaluating corporate transactions, of which at least 3-5 years should be in Managerial role.
Language Skills :
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Expert knowledge of computers and systems.
Special Skills :
- Detail oriented, highly organized, team player and multitasking.
- High sense of responsibility and commitment.
- Good at maintaining relations with peers, colleagues and partners NGOs.
