Role overview
Title: Operations & Partnerships Associate
This person builds and runs the supply side of Help: recruiting and onboarding service vendors, shaping the service catalog, and turning day-to-day marketplace operations into repeatable processes as Help grows across Texas, Delaware and Maryland.
Location: Nagpur, India
Employment type: Full-time
About Help
Help is a mobile marketplace for booking home, event and specialty services, from deep cleaning and landscaping to event photography and party decor. Customers book in under two minutes with upfront, tiered pricing (Basic, Standard, Premium) and 30-minute scheduling slots. Every vendor is ID-verified, and vendors see their exact earnings before accepting an order, with weekly payouts through Stripe.
We currently serve Texas, Delaware and Maryland, and vendor registration is open. We are an early-stage team, so this hire will shape how our vendor network and operations are built from the ground up.
Key responsibilitiesVendor acquisition and onboarding
- Build a pipeline of independent professionals and small service businesses in each market, through outreach, referrals, local partnerships and events.
- Own the onboarding flow end to end: profile setup, government ID verification, service subscription, availability and radius settings, and Stripe payout setup.
- Review and approve vendor applications within our 24-hour verification target, and keep quality and background standards consistent.
- Create onboarding guides, training materials and FAQs so new vendors take their first order quickly.
- Track activation, from signup to first completed order, and remove friction where vendors drop off.
Service offerings and catalog management
- Define and maintain the service catalog: services, Basic/Standard/Premium packages, variants and what each one includes.
- Set and review pricing with leadership, using competitor research, vendor earnings and customer demand.
- Identify new service categories and bundles to launch, and run pilots before a full rollout.
- Balance supply and demand by service and city, so customers find available vendors and vendors get steady orders.
Vendor success and quality
- Act as the main point of contact for vendors on orders, payouts, disputes and policy questions.
- Monitor ratings, reviews, declines and cancellations; coach underperformers and manage offboarding when needed.
- Grow and retain top vendors through the Preferred Vendor program and recognition.
Business operations
- Design and document repeatable processes (SOPs) for onboarding, support escalation, refunds, disputes and order reassignment.
- Work with product and engineering on vendor-app and admin-tool improvements, bringing feedback from the field.
- Build dashboards and weekly reports on supply, bookings, fulfillment rate, vendor earnings and customer satisfaction.
- Help launch new cities and states: market research, vendor recruitment, local compliance and launch checklists.
- Coordinate with customer support, marketing and finance so operations run smoothly as volume grows.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, operations or a related field.
- 0–4 years in operations, vendor or partner management, business development or account management.
- Comfort talking to small business owners and independent professionals, in person and by phone.
- Strong organization: you can run many vendor conversations and tasks at once without dropping any.
- Working skill with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and basic data analysis.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred
- MBA (marketing, operations or strategy), or equivalent startup experience.
- Experience at a marketplace, gig or on-demand services company (home services, delivery, ride-share, booking platforms).
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce), Stripe or admin dashboards.
- Experience launching a new market or city.
- Knowledge of the home and event services industry in Texas.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
