Operations Manager – Be Part of Our Next Chapter in India (Japanese Speaker)
We are seeking a Japanese-speaking Operations Manager to play a key role in the next stage of our growth in India. With an established liaison office already in place in Bangalore, we are now moving towards establishing a full local entity — and we’re looking for someone to help make this happen.
This role offers the opportunity to build on an existing foundation while shaping how our operations evolve. You will work across administration, compliance, and business support, collaborating closely with international teams across India, Japan, and Europe.
To set you up for success, you will spend your first few months in Tokyo, Japan, gaining hands-on experience and a strong understanding of our business.
Role Overview
To support the next phase of our growth in India, we are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the development and strengthening of our local operational infrastructure.
Building on our established liaison office in Bangalore, this role is critical as we transition towards a full local entity. You will work closely with teams across India, Japan, and Europe to ensure a stable, compliant, and scalable operational foundation.
You are a structured and detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage administrative, legal, and operational processes in a fast-evolving environment. You will take ownership of office setup, compliance, and day-to-day operational activities, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the India entity.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Office Setup & Entity Establishment
- Lead and coordinate activities related to establishing the official office in India
- Manage transition from liaison office to full operational entity
- Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and government bodies as required
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee legal, accounting, audit, and compliance processes
- Coordinate with external service providers (legal firms, accountants, auditors)
- Ensure adherence to local laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
Operational Management
- Oversee and manage all administrative and back-office functions, including logistics, accounting, tax, HR, and legal coordination
- Establish and manage day-to-day operational processes
- Build internal systems and workflows to support business activities
- Ensure efficient coordination across functions
Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with stakeholders across India, Japan, and the EU
- Prepare reports, documentation, and operational updates
- Track key actions and ensure timely follow-through
Process & Environment Building
- Develop and implement scalable operational processes
- Continuously improve workflows and internal systems
- Support the creation of a professional and structured working
Background & Experience
- Experience in operations, administration, or office setup roles
- Strong exposure to legal, compliance, or accounting-related activities
- Experience working with external service providers
- Experience in an international or cross-cultural environment
Language Skills
- Japanese: Business level or fluent
- English: Business level (spoken and written)
