Job Summary
We are a Tier 2 automotive supplier and industrial manufacturer based in Pune, looking for a hands-on Plant Operations Manager to build and lead our factory operations. This role is strictly focused on manufacturing execution—maximizing the output and efficiency of our blow molding and injection molding lines and secondary assembly processes. You will drive shop floor digitization via our custom ERP, develop IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 compliance, and serve as the technical face of the factory during audits and visits from our Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive clients.

- Deep understanding of plastic molding machinery, mold setup, and maintenance.
- Experience with ultrasonic welding and secondary assembly processes.
- Fluent in automotive quality documentation and root-cause analysis (8D, Fishbone).

Education and Experience Requirement
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Polymer, or Plastics Engineering OR A diploma/degree from CIPET is a strong advantage.
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations.
- Specific Background: Must have demonstrable experience scaling a team or setting up a shift from scratch. Must have prior experience interacting with quality engineers and auditors.
Soft Skills
- Builder’s Mentality: Comfortable starting with a team of one. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves, operate a machine if necessary, and lead by example while you hire and train the rest of the workforce.
- Floor-Bound Executioner: This is not a desk job. We need a manager who spends 80% of their time on the shop floor driving output, not sitting in an office looking at spreadsheets.
- Customer-Ready Presence: The poise and technical authority to walk any customer through the factory, explain our quality controls, and confidently answer process-related questions.
- Extreme Ownership: Treats the manufacturing floor like their own micro-enterprise, showing extreme accountability for machine health, material waste, and team safety.
