Operations Manager – TrekNomadsAre you a logistics wizard with a passion for the great outdoors? TrekNomads is looking for a highly organised, proactive, and tech-savvy Operations Manager to lead the heartbeat of our expeditions.
In this role, you won't just be managing schedules; you’ll be the architect behind life-changing experiences. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of a trek—from the moment a trekker signs up to the final post-trek debrief—ensuring seamless coordination between vendors, ground teams, and participants.
CTC: 5-7L per annum
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Trek Coordination- Pre-Trek: Manage trekker onboarding, conduct briefing sessions, share gear checklists, and ensure all necessary documents and permits are secured.
- During Trek: Act as the central command for real-time troubleshooting. Maintain constant communication with ground teams to ensure safety and itinerary adherence.
- Post-Trek: Collect feedback, photos, videos, and ensure trekkers receive their certificates.
2. Vendor & Logistics Management- Accommodations: Secure and verify bookings for hotels, homestays, and campsites across various trek routes.
- Transport: Coordinate reliable transport logistics (pickups, drops, and transit) for every batch.
- State Coordinators: Liaise with regional leads to assign qualified Trek Leaders, guides, and support staff (porters/cooks) for every batch.
3. Reporting & Data Analytics- Batch Analysis: Create detailed post-trek reports covering P&L, trekker satisfaction scores, and operational efficiency.
- Season Planning: Use historical data to forecast logistics needs for upcoming seasons and optimise routes based on weather patterns and feedback.
- CRM Management: Keep our CRM updated with accurate trekker data, booking statuses, and communication logs.
Requirements & Skills- The Toolkit: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for data tracking) and Word. Comfortable navigating CRM systems and project management tools.
- Logistics Mastery: Proven experience in operations, preferably in the travel or outdoor industry.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; you must be able to calm a nervous trekker and negotiate firmly with a transport vendor in the same hour.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet when a landslide blocks a road or a hotel overbooks.
- Passion for Trekking: An understanding of mountain geography and trekking culture is a huge plus.
