Role ObjectiveOwn and drive the complete order-to-cash cycle, including order processing, logistics, and fulfilment, ensuring timely delivery, accurate billing, and strong coordination across all internal and external stakeholders.
This role is responsible for building a reliable execution engine that supports revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Lifecycle Management- Review, validate, and process all incoming orders
- Ensure accuracy in pricing, commercial terms, taxes, and documentation
- Maintain real-time tracking of all active orders
- Drive order closure from receipt to delivery and billing
2. Logistics & Supply Chain Management- Manage end-to-end logistics (imports, domestic dispatch, last-mile coordination)
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and transport vendors
- Track shipments proactively and resolve delays/escalations
- Ensure all shipping and import documentation is accurate and compliant
- Optimize freight cost and delivery timelines
3. Cross-Functional Coordination- Act as the single point of ownership between:
- Sales (order inputs, customer commitments)
- Finance (invoicing, payments, TDS, documentation)
- Vendors / Principals (POs, shipment timelines)
- Service team (installation and handover)
- Ensure no dependency bottlenecks delay execution
4. Commercial & Billing Control- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Track billing milestones and pending payments
- Monitor order-to-cash cycle and reduce delays
- Flag risks related to pricing, approvals, or documentation early
5. Process & Systems Development- Build and implement SOPs for order processing and logistics
- Develop dashboards for:
- Order status tracking
- Delivery timelines
- Revenue visibility
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce errors
6. Customer Experience & Escalation Management- Communicate proactively with customers on order and delivery status
- Handle escalations and ensure quick resolution
- Ensure smooth coordination for installation and final closure
Key Metrics (KPIs)- Order processing turnaround time
- On-time delivery rate
- Billing accuracy (target: zero errors)
- Order-to-cash cycle time
- Customer escalation frequency
Candidate ProfileExperience- 5–10 years in operations / order management / supply chain
- Experience in B2B industries (preferably scientific instruments, pharma, biotech, engineering)
Functional Knowledge- Strong understanding of:
- Logistics (import/export, freight, CHA coordination)
- Commercial documentation (invoices, GST basics, TDS awareness)
- Order processing systems / ERP (Tally, SAP, Zoho, etc.)
Skills & Traits- High ownership mindset — takes responsibility for outcomes, not tasks
- Strong coordination and follow-up ability
- Detail-oriented with a zero-error approach
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
