Job Description: 3PL Operations Manager

About the Role: We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and relentless professional to own our relationship and performance with our primary third-party logistics (3PL) partner. Your primary mission is to be the guardian of our operational and financial integrity across the entire logistics chain. You will be the "hawk's eye" ensuring that our service levels are met, our processes are watertight, and any leakage—operational or financial—is identified and plugged.
Key Responsibilities:
1. 3PL Performance & Relationship Management:
· Act as the single point of contact and manage the day-to-day relationship with our 3PL partners across all warehouses.· Monitor and hold the 3PL accountable against SLAs for key metrics like Pick-up TAT, Delivery TAT, and Return Processing
TAT.· Conduct regular performance review meetings, presenting data-driven insights on performance, bottlenecks, and improvement areas.· Lead the end-to-end operational onboarding and implementation of new warehouse partners.
2. Transaction Audit & Financial Control:
· Design and execute a robust audit plan for all forward and return transactions.· Perform deep-dive audits to reconcile physical flow of goods with financial data, identifying discrepancies.· Own the end-to-end process of tracking Operational Performances of 3PL and raise debit notes for breach of contract and related gaps and leakages to the company on account of 3PL performances.· Scrutinize 3PL invoices and marketplace settlements for accuracy, validating them against actual shipments, returns, and agreed-upon contracts.· Conduct rigorous reconciliation processes and work with technical teams to automate them where possible.
3. Process Improvement & Reporting:
· Generate and analyze MTD & YTD reports on key metrics like sales, returns, and operational performance.· Work closely with internal teams and 3PL partners to implement corrective actions based on audit findings, driving warehouse and omni-channel process improvements.· Develop and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into 3PL performance and audit results for executive management.· Maintain comprehensive financial and operational reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in e-commerce logistics, marketplace operations, supply chain audit, or 3PLmanagement.
Skills:· Analytical Prowess: Expert in MS Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) to audit large transaction datasets. Experience with tools like Unicommerce is a plus.
· Hawk's Eye for Detail: A proven track record of identifying discrepancies and recovering significant revenue from rejected claims (e.g., SPF).
· Excellent Negotiator & Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills to manage external partner relationships and hold them accountable.
