Role Description The Operations Manager role at Carry Goods (CG Transit) is a full-time, on-site position based in Guwahati. The Operations Manager will oversee daily logistics operations, including coordinating shipments, managing driver-partners, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. This role involves monitoring real-time tracking systems, resolving operational issues, and optimizing routes and resource allocation to improve efficiency and service quality. The Operations Manager will collaborate with internal teams to maintain transparent pricing, uphold safety and compliance standards, and support continuous process improvement. The position also includes tracking key performance metrics, reporting operational outcomes, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational scalability.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management skills, including experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or transportation management.
- Ability to use technology platforms and data dashboards for real-time tracking, performance monitoring, and process optimization.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to handle multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities to work with driver-partners, customers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of compliance, safety standards, and best practices in road transport and freight operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field; relevant experience in logistics or transportation is highly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Guwahati, with readiness for field visits and coordination with ground teams as needed.
- Experience with operations in Northeast India or similar markets, and familiarity with local routes and conditions, is an advantage.
