Role Overview
- Position Title: Operations Manager – Corporate MICE & Global Events

Job Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, logistics management, and on-ground execution of high-profile corporate conferences, incentive trips, and large-scale dealer meets both within India and globally. This role demands a master of logistics who can seamlessly coordinate cross-border travel, international vendor networks, and complex corporate itineraries while maintaining strict budgetary and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Global Travel & Logistics Management
- Oversee large-scale group movements, including commercial flight block-bookings, charter flights, charter buses, and airport transfers.
- Coordinate with internal visa teams or external partners to streamline visa processing, passport documentation, and travel insurance for corporate delegates.
- Map out detailed transit itineraries and contingency transport schedules for seamless delegate movement.
Procurement & Destination Management
- Negotiate contracts and secure competitive pricing with global hotel chains, international convention centres, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs).
- Source, vet, and manage relationships with domestic and international vendors for AV, fabrication, gifting, entertainment, and catering.
- Ensure all vendor contracts align with the client’s corporate procurement and legal guidelines.
On-Site Production & Execution
- Lead the on-ground execution team at both domestic and international venues.
- Supervise setup schedules, technical AV checks, fabrication quality, and main-stage timelines (Run-of-Show).
- Oversee massive delegate registration setups, hospitality desks, and multi-cuisine meal management (gala dinners, themed nights).
Financial Control & Compliance
- Build, track, and reconcile accurate project budgets, monitoring all operational expenses to maximize profit margins.
- Handle foreign exchange (Forex) payments, overseas tax regulations, and international financial compliance.
Risk Management & Crisis Control
- Draft and implement robust risk-mitigation plans for international emergencies, flight delays, weather disruptions, or medical crises.
- Ensure all setups comply with local fire safety, structural engineering, and municipal laws in the destination country.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Client Satisfaction (CSAT): Achievement of post-event client satisfaction scores above target thresholds.
- Budget Optimization: Delivering events within or below the approved budget while preserving execution quality.
- Vendor Efficiency: Maintaining accurate vendor deliverables with zero major operational delays or technical failures.
- Logistical Precision: Flawless delegate movement with minimal errors in travel, housing, or dietary requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of proven operational experience in corporate MICE, group travel, or experiential event agencies.
- Network: Strong, active relationships with global airlines, international hotel sales offices, and overseas DMCs.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with international production standards, shipping logistics (e.g., ATA Carnet), and event tech platforms (registration apps, RFID tracking).
- Travel Flexibility: Valid passport and complete willingness to travel extensively both within India and internationally on short notice.
