Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Operations Manager – TEM to lead and manage end-to-end Telecom Expense Management operations. The role involves overseeing billing, cost optimization, vendor management, and process improvement to ensure accurate telecom expense control and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day TEM operations including billing validation, dispute management, and inventory tracking.
- Oversee telecom expense audits and ensure accurate processing of invoices.
- Monitor and optimize telecom costs across voice, data, mobility, and network services.
- Lead vendor and carrier management, including negotiations and SLA governance.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs to leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and manage TEM operations teams.
- Coordinate with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units for smooth operations.
- Handle escalations related to billing discrepancies and service issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Telecom Expense Management or telecom operations.
- Strong understanding of telecom billing, contracts, and carrier services.
- Experience with TEM tools/platforms (e.g., Calero, Tangoe, Cass, Brightfin, etc.).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and cost optimization skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proven experience in team leadership and operations management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and dashboards.
Preferred Qualification
- MBA or relevant professional certification.
- Experience handling large enterprise telecom portfolios.
- Exposure to automation, RPA, or AI in expense management.
- Experience working with global carriers and multi-region operations.
