Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Linguist - Marathi Translator, based in Pune Division. The primary responsibilities include translating documents and content from English to Marathi and vice versa while maintaining accuracy, cultural relevance, and tone. The role also involves proofreading and editing translations, conducting linguistic research, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional output.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English and Marathi, including strong translation and linguistic skills
- Experience in proofreading, editing, and ensuring accuracy of translations
- Ability to perform linguistic and cultural research for accurate and contextually appropriate translations
- Familiarity with language tools and technology, such as CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
- A bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
- Experience with Multilingual Desktop Publishing (DTP) or content writing is a plus
