Aquila EV is building the future of electric mobility in India — and as we scale, we need someone who can keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This isn't a conventional operations role. As our Operations Lead, you'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, acting as a critical bridge between the Founder's office and every vertical in the company.
What you'll be doing
FOUNDER'S OFFICE & STRATEGY
- Work closely with the founders to translate strategic priorities into clear action plans across teams
- Prepare briefs, reports, and dashboards that give leadership a real-time pulse on the business
- Represent the Founder's office in cross-functional meetings and follow through on decisions
- Identify and flag risks or misalignments across verticals before they escalate
OPERATIONS & IMPLEMENTATION
- Own day-to-day operational workflows — streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and build systems that scale
- Drive implementation of new initiatives from planning to execution, working across sales, marketing, product, and service teams
- Monitor KPIs and OKRs across verticals, flagging gaps and recommending course corrections
- Coordinate vendor relationships, timelines, and deliverables where needed
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Act as a go-to point of contact across teams — connecting the dots between sales, operations, marketing, and tech
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team-building efforts as we grow
- Take on special projects and new problem areas as the business evolves — no two months will look the same
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–5 years of experience in operations, consulting, chief of staff, or a generalist startup role
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills — you can hold many threads at once
- Strong communication skills in English and Tamil; ability to work across all levels of the organisation
- Analytical mindset — comfortable with data, dashboards, and drawing insights from numbers
- High ownership mentality — you take problems to completion, not just to the next person
- Adaptable and resourceful — you're energised by ambiguity, not paralysed by it
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Google Workspace, Excel, or project management software
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline — curiosity and capability matter more than the field
