Role Description The Operations Head will lead end-to-end operations for LetsTransport’s urban logistics network, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and scalable service delivery across Bengaluru South and other key markets. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South, responsible for overseeing fleet and driver management, supply-demand planning, and on-ground execution to meet enterprise client SLAs. The role involves monitoring operational performance, optimizing processes, driving standard operating procedures, and resolving escalations to maintain high service quality and safety standards. The Operations Head will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, sales, finance, and customer success to implement operational strategies, support new business initiatives, and manage P&L for the region. The role also includes mentoring and developing operations teams, leveraging data and technology for decision-making, and leading continuous improvement and cost-optimization projects.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management and logistics expertise, including experience in fleet management, supply chain, or transportation networks.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, mentor, and motivate large on-ground and back-office teams.
- Data-driven decision-making capabilities, with proficiency in using dashboards, analytics tools, and KPIs to improve performance and efficiency.
- Client and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with enterprise customers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Process improvement and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing SOPs, operational controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage escalations and align diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort with technology platforms and digital tools, preferably in tech-enabled logistics or similar industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
