About the Role
WSIL is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Associate to support the day-to-day functioning of our operations team. The ideal candidate is a structured problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is passionate about driving process efficiency and operational excellence. This role offers exposure to multiple business functions and is a strong launchpad for a career in operations, business management, or strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of daily operational workflows to ensure timely delivery of business objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams (sales, finance, supply chain, customer support) to ensure smooth handoffs and issue resolution.
- Track key operational metrics (TAT, SLA adherence, fulfillment rates, error rates) and escalate deviations.
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks in existing processes and recommend improvements.
- Assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring team adherence.
- Participate in automation and digitization initiatives to reduce manual effort.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain operational dashboards and prepare weekly/monthly reports for leadership.
- Conduct data analysis to surface insights, trends, and root causes of operational issues.
- Use Excel, Google Sheets, and BI tools to clean, structure, and visualize data.
Must Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, business operations, supply chain, logistics, or a similar function.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, basic formulas).
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Zoho, NetSuite) or workflow tools (Asana, Monday, Jira).
- Familiarity with BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Experience working in startups, e-commerce, manufacturing, BFSI, or logistics environments.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction.
