The Ships Agency Operator is responsible for coordinating vessel port calls, including arrivals, departures, documentation, and regulatory clearances. The role ensures smooth communication with ship masters, port authorities, and internal teams. It focuses on efficient vessel turnaround while maintaining compliance with port, customs, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibility:
- Attend and board vessels to manage port calls in line with SOPs and customer requirements.
- Arrange inward and outward formalities including customs, immigration, and quarantine clearance.
- Coordinate vessel documentation and liaise with the Master to ensure cargo and husbandry requirements are met.
- Arrange crew sign-on/off, passes, and logistics support for crew, Master, and visitors.
- Monitor vessel operations, report key events, and track cost elements while maintaining communication with stakeholders.
Looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ship agency or maritime port operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, cargo handling, and port regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
