Role Description The Operational Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily transport operations. This role includes monitoring bus schedules and routes, ensuring timely departures and arrivals, and supporting drivers and ground staff with clear instructions and updates. The Operational Specialist will track operational performance, identify issues or delays, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them efficiently. The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing basic operational reports, and supporting compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This position also works closely with customer-facing and sales teams to align operational capacity with demand and support a smooth passenger experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, identify trends, and support process improvements.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with drivers, operations staff, and customer-facing teams.
- Candidates should possess Sales awareness to collaborate with commercial teams on route utilization and service offerings.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to oversee day-to-day transport activities and ensure service reliability.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to support implementation of new routes, systems, or operational initiatives.
- Relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on safety and compliance are expected.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
