Role Description The Operational Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for supporting and optimizing day-to-day business operations for Desh Bidesh Bengal Saree. This role involves coordinating between manufacturing units and sales channels, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely order processing and dispatch. The Operational Specialist will track operational performance metrics, identify process bottlenecks, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Daily tasks include liaising with internal teams and external partners, documenting workflows, and assisting in the implementation of operational policies and standard operating procedures. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, supporting project-based initiatives, and ensuring smooth coordination across production, logistics, and sales functions.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend operational improvements.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with manufacturing teams, sales staff, vendors, and management.
- Sales and customer service awareness to align operations with order fulfillment, pricing, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Operations management and project management skills to oversee workflows, coordinate tasks, and support new process implementations.
- Experience in retail, textile, garment, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.
- Proficiency with basic office software and inventory or ERP tools is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field is desirable.
