Role Description The Opentext Extended ECM Consultant is a full-time/freelance remote role responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Opentext Extended ECM solutions for enterprise clients. Day-to-day tasks include gathering business requirements, mapping processes, and translating these into effective content management and integration architectures. The consultant will configure document, records, and business process management workflows, integrate Extended ECM with core business applications (such as SAP and other enterprise systems), and ensure data governance and compliance. The role involves preparing technical and functional documentation, conducting user training and knowledge transfer, and providing ongoing consulting support and issue resolution. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in project planning, and continuous improvement of best practices are key aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Document Management and Records Management, including design of taxonomies, retention policies, and governance frameworks.
- Candidates should possess experience in Enterprise Content Management, with hands-on expertise in Opentext Extended ECM configuration, deployment, and integration.
- Candidates should possess skills in Business Process Management, such as workflow design, automation, and optimization of end-to-end business processes.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills, including requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, solution presentation, and client relationship management.
- Relevant experience with SAP or other enterprise systems integrated with Opentext Extended ECM is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting and solution design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in remote, distributed teams and managing tasks independently to meet project deadlines.
