Job title: OpenStack Engineer (4-6 yrs)

Contract
Job responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and maintain OpenStack cloud infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and manage core OpenStack services such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, and Horizon.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Manage virtual machines, networking, and storage services within the OpenStack environment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Heat.
• Work with Linux systems (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu) for server configuration and maintenance.
• Integrate OpenStack with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Implement security policies, identity management, and access control.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and capacity planning for the OpenStack environment.
• Collaborate with DevOps, networking, and infrastructure teams for cloud operations.
Required Skills
• Strong experience with OpenStack architecture and deployment.
• Expertise in Linux system administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, or similar).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VLAN, VXLAN, SDN, routing).
• Experience with cloud orchestration and automation tools.
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix).
• Understanding of storage technologies (Ceph, Swift, or SAN/NAS).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with OpenStack upgrades and troubleshooting large-scale deployments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
• Certifications in OpenStack, Linux, or Cloud technologies are a plus.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
