Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an OpenShift Platform Lead based in Chennai. The OpenShift Platform Lead will oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Red Hat OpenShift clusters. Day-to-day tasks will include troubleshooting platform-related issues, optimizing system performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy applications, and ensuring the overall reliability, scalability, and security of the platform. Additionally, the role will involve actively contributing to automation and DevOps practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Experience in infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
- Proficiency in Linux administration, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integration
- Knowledge of network configurations, security mechanisms, and load balancing in a cloud-native environment
- Problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting production issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a strong advantage
