Job Description – OpenBMC / BMC Firmware Engineer
We are looking for an experienced OpenBMC / BMC Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in embedded firmware development, server manageability, and Linux-based BMC platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in OpenBMC architecture, firmware development, Redfish enablement, and low-level server management technologies.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong programming experience in C and C++
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux and Yocto
- Experience working on x86 server platforms
- Strong understanding of BMC/OpenBMC architecture
- Experience with:
- Dell iDRAC
- Dell CMC
- HP iLO
- OOB (Out-of-Band) Server Manageability
- Server BIOS and Firmware Development
- Working knowledge of:
- IPMI
- Redfish Host Interface
- Redfish Device Enablement (RDE)
- MCTP
- PLDM
- Hands-on experience with Zephyr RTOS
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance firmware features for OpenBMC-based server management solutions.
- Work on server firmware stack development, debugging, and integration activities.
- Implement and support Redfish APIs, IPMI services, and manageability protocols.
- Develop low-level firmware modules for server platform management and monitoring.
- Collaborate with BIOS, hardware, validation, and platform engineering teams.
- Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for firmware-related problems.
- Work with Yocto build systems for firmware image generation and customization.
- Support firmware validation, bring-up, and production releases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise server firmware development.
- Good understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
- Exposure to firmware security and boot architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
