About the Role
In this role, you will be building advanced features for the ChatGPT desktop application. You will leverage industry best practices and modern frameworks to deliver amazing experiences to ChatGPT users. You will be responsible for designing and implementing features end-to-end in a modern MacOS/iOS codebase. We’re looking for experienced, talented engineers who love building features 0-to-1.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
- Partner closely with design and product to conceive, design and build features in ChatGPT for desktop.
- Work with a small, senior team of engineers and researchers to combine existing best practices with innovative approaches based on modern deep learning to develop industry-leading systems
You might thrive in this role if you:
- Have 6+ years of professional engineering experience (excluding internships)
- Have significant experience building technically complex features that delight users - especially in Swift and/or C++.
- Have a passion for building high quality user experiences.
- Thrive in ambiguity, communicate clearly and concisely, and are always seeking to learn & share.
