Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Ahmedabad, with partial work-from-home flexibility, for an Open Source Contributor specializing in Full-Stack Development. The selected candidate will work collaboratively to design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for open-source projects. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing both front-end and back-end features, addressing complex architectural challenges, and actively engaging with the open-source community. Additionally, the role may involve reviewing pull requests, fixing bugs, optimizing performance, and contributing to technical discussions for the growth of open-source projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Expertise in back-end development with programming languages like Node.js, Python, Ruby, or PHP and experience with RESTful APIs and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development in an open-source ecosystem.
- Understanding of software architecture principles, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Ability to debug, optimize, and maintain code in a scalable and efficient manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience contributing to or managing open-source projects is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
