Role Overview:
The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales in the General Trade channel by managing distributors, expanding retail reach, and ensuring strong product availability in the market.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales in the assigned General Trade territory.
- Appoint and manage distributors and retailers to increase market penetration.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and merchandising at retail outlets.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Execute trade promotions, schemes, and marketing activities in the market.
- Track secondary sales and stock levels with distributors.
- Ensure timely collections and credit control from distributors/retailers.
- Provide regular market feedback and sales reports to the management.
Requirement
- Graduate degree
- 2–5 years of experience in General Trade sales, preferably in the Food/FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of distributor management and retail market operations.
- Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
