Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role for an Online Scratch Tutor. The tutor will be responsible for delivering live coding classes on the Scratch programming platform, ensuring that sessions are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student's learning pace. Responsibilities include planning lessons, guiding students through creative coding projects, providing feedback, and addressing student queries. Tutors will also contribute to fostering a love for coding among young learners.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Scratch programming and a strong understanding of block-based coding.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with young learners.
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring, especially with children aged 5 to 17.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on student needs and learning styles.
- Passion for education and technology, with a creative and motivating approach to teaching.
- Reliable internet connection and familiarity with online teaching tools such as Zoom or Google Meet.
- Prior experience with curriculum design or content creation is a plus.
- Background in computer science, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
