Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an Online Scratch Mentor. The mentor will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive online Scratch programming lessons to children. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, conducting live sessions, assessing and tracking student progress, and tailoring teaching approaches to meet individual student needs. Mentors are expected to foster an encouraging learning environment and offer support to ensure student success and confidence in coding.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Scratch programming with a passion for teaching young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with and guiding students effectively.
- Ability to prepare lesson plans, assess progress, and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
- Basic familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital collaboration tools.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching coding concepts to children.
- Previous experience teaching or mentoring in coding or STEM subjects is a plus.
- Availability to commit to a consistent teaching schedule in a remote learning format.
