Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role for Online Science Mentors. In this role, you will facilitate engaging, interactive online science lessons for kids between the ages of 5 and 17. You will deliver customized science lessons, provide individualized support to students, and foster a positive and encouraging learning environment. Duties include tracking student progress, offering feedback, and ensuring that each session is dynamic and student-centered.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in science-related fields and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, age-appropriate language
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students, especially in a virtual setting
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for online instruction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and support students effectively
- Organizational skills for lesson planning, progress tracking, and adaptability to diverse student needs
- Enthusiasm for working with kids and promoting a love for science
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with student-centered teaching techniques is a plus
