Job details:
Purpose
Own how Vyrian and it's subsidiaries appears in search, on review platforms, and across social and forum channels. Monitor for damaging, false, or policy-violating content; pursue legitimate removal and de-indexing paths; and build the positive content footprint that outranks what can't be removed.
Responsibilities
- Build and run continuous monitoring across search results, Google Business, Glassdoor, Indeed, Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Trustpilot, industry forums, and complaint sites; maintain an issue log with severity and status.
- File and track platform removal requests where content violates terms of service — doxxing, impersonation, PII exposure, harassment, fake reviews, trademark misuse.
- Manage Google's own removal tools: personal information removal, outdated content/refresh, Search Console, and knowledge panel/entity accuracy.
- Prepare evidence packages for outside counsel on defamation and trade-libel matters; manage DMCA takedowns; coordinate court-order de-indexing where obtained.
- Execute SEO suppression: build and optimize owned properties, executive profiles, and third-party placements so accurate content ranks above negative results.
- Manage employer-brand reputation on Glassdoor and Indeed — response strategy, review-solicitation programs that comply with platform rules, and feeding themes back to leadership.
- Identify counterfeit, gray-market, and unauthorized listings using Vyrian's name or logo across marketplaces and broker networks; pursue enforcement with platforms.
- Own crisis-response playbooks and holding statements; act as first responder when an issue escalates.
- Report monthly: share of voice, sentiment, SERP position of negative items, removals achieved, time-to-resolution.
Required
- 4+ years in ORM, brand protection, digital PR, or platform trust & safety.
- Demonstrated removals or successful suppressions — ask for anonymized case examples with before/after SERPs.
- Working knowledge of Section 230 limits, DMCA process, defamation basics, and what platforms will and won't act on. Must be able to tell you quickly when removal is not achievable.
- Technical SEO: keyword and entity strategy, schema, backlink evaluation, Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush.
- Monitoring/listening tools: Brand24, Mention, Meltwater, Talkwalker, or similar.
- Strong written English; able to draft platform appeals and public responses that don't create a second story.
- Comfortable working with outside counsel and documenting to an evidentiary standard.
Preferred
- B2B or industrial/defense supply chain background; understands prime-contractor sensitivity.
- Anti-counterfeiting or IP enforcement experience.
- Wikipedia editing experience with proper COI disclosure.
- Crisis comms training.
