Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an Online Math Mentor. The mentor will guide young learners in understanding math concepts, design interactive lesson plans, and facilitate engaging online sessions that foster curiosity and a love for math. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, addressing individual learning needs, and maintaining a supportive virtual learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and experience teaching or tutoring students in math
- Proficiency in creating and delivering interactive, student-centric lesson plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage young learners
- Familiarity with remote teaching tools and digital platforms
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to work with diverse levels of student proficiency
- Previous experience in online teaching or mentoring is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred
