Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an Online Math Mentor. The Online Math Mentor will be responsible for conducting live, interactive math tutoring sessions, preparing lesson plans, and ensuring students understand key mathematical concepts. Additional responsibilities include adapting teaching techniques to fit individual learning needs and fostering an engaging and encouraging virtual learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in explaining fundamental to advanced math concepts
- Experience in virtual teaching or tutoring, with knowledge of remote learning tools and platforms
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create lesson plans and adapt instruction to different learning styles
- Patience, enthusiasm, and dedication to helping students succeed academically
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience teaching children aged 5 to 17 is a plus
