Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role as an Online Coding Mentor. The mentor will conduct live online coding sessions with students, assist in developing their programming skills, and adapt teaching strategies to fit individual learning styles. Additional responsibilities include guiding students through coding projects, evaluating their progress, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scratch, or Machine Learning
- Experience in instructional or educational methodologies, with an ability to teach coding concepts to young learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students aged 5 to 17
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learning needs and ensure an engaging student experience
- Strong organizational skills to plan and manage online sessions efficiently
- Experience teaching or mentoring in an online environment is a plus
- Background in computer science, education, or a related field will be beneficial
