Job Description – Online Business Head - Retail
Position Overview: The Retail Online Business Head is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s online retail operations. This role involves strategic planning, digital marketing, e-commerce management, and team leadership to drive online sales and enhance the customer experience. The Retail Online Business Head ensures the online platform meets performance targets, delivers exceptional service, and aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Identify new opportunities for online sales channels and digital innovations.
- E-commerce Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online store, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
- Manage the product assortment, pricing strategies, and inventory levels to optimize sales and profitability.
- Digital Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Monitor and analyse digital marketing performance, making data-driven decisions to improve ROI.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure a superior online shopping experience by maintaining high standards for website usability, customer service, and order fulfilment.
- Implement initiatives to enhance customer engagement and loyalty, such as personalized recommendations and loyalty programs.
- Technology & Innovation:
- Stay abreast of the latest e-commerce technologies and trends to keep the online store competitive.
- Lead the integration of new technologies and platforms to improve online sales and operational efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of online retail operations.
- Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and manage a high-performing team, including roles in e-commerce operations, digital marketing, and customer service.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to foster professional growth and performance.
- Partnerships & Collaborations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, such as payment gateways, logistics providers, and digital marketing agencies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth and innovation.

- Total online revenue and sales growth percentage.

- Customer Metrics:

Qualifications:
