Head of DevOps

Job Description: As a Head of DevOps, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the DevOps practices and processes within the organization. Your responsibilities typically encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at improving collaboration, automation, and efficiency between development and IT operations teams. Skills & Expertise: Technical Proficiency: • In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, such as Version control systems (e.g., Git) • Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) • Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) • Containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) • Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Automation Skills: • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell) for automation. • Ability to write and maintain infrastructure and deployment scripts. Security Knowledge: • Understanding of security best practices and the ability to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps). • Knowledge of security compliance and regulatory requirements. Leadership and Team Management: • Strong leadership skills to build and lead a high-performing DevOps team. • Experience in hiring, mentoring, and motivating team members. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues and incidents. • Ability to implement effective troubleshooting processes. Desired Experience: • Minimum 10+ years of work experience in engineering, DevOps. • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with large development teams. • Passionate about Continuous Build, Integration, Test, and Delivery systems
