Intern, Software Engineer

Position Title: Intern, Software Engineer Department: Dev Ops/Internal Systems Location: Remote, must be located in the US and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time, 8 – 10 weeks One Inc provides insurance companies a digital payments platform designed to increase retention, decrease admin expenses, and mitigate data security risk – while simplifying compliance. The internship will wrap up with a presentation on your learnings and the experience. Overview: Intern, Engineering As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be working on automation projects. This will include working with engineers including a full SDLC life cycle, CI/CD, etc. The successful candidate will work closely with their supervisors to understand the workflows and how to successful develop. This will an opportunity to get familiar with the software development practices, Kubernetes and a modern infrastructure technology. Responsibilities Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle as needed, including design, development, and testing. Understand and use the existing products, framework, tools, technologies, and computer languages, applied to the current tasks. Translate automation technical requirements into actual implementation. Maintain and update the existing software as requirements change. Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support in different environments. Skills needed: Basic Programming Skills. Knowing Python would be a plus. Having experience in or knowledge of Web Development would be a plus. Having experience in or knowledge of modern databases would be a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Fast-learning abilities. Analytical and decision-making skills Attention to detail. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree or in progress of in Business, Computer Science.
