Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Oncology Yoga Therapist. In this role, you will design and lead therapeutic yoga sessions tailored to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of cancer patients. You will assess individual patient needs, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and educate patients on the benefits of tailored yoga techniques for cancer recovery. The role also involves maintaining accurate progress reports and contributing to program development for enhanced patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Yoga Therapy, with specific experience or training in oncology-focused practice
- Strong understanding of cancer treatments, their side effects, and implications for physical activity
- Exceptional skills in communication, empathy, and patient care
- Ability to develop personalized therapy plans and adapt them based on patient needs
- Experience collaborating with healthcare practitioners to integrate therapeutic care plans
- Certification in Yoga Therapy or related credentials from a recognized institution
- Experience working with individuals with chronic or complex health conditions is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to medical standards
