Role 4: Onboarding Senior Analyst

Position
Role summary:
The Onboarding Analyst is responsible for conducting an investigative review and analysis of client applications in support of 's KYC/AML regulatory compliance policies and programs. This includes reviewing automated alerts, required documentation and information to determine accuracy, regulatory compliance, and appropriate risk rating for institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive KYC & AML reviews on institutional clients and assess client profiles.
- Communicate directly, when applicable, with high-profile clients throughout the onboarding process.
- Conduct investigative review and analysis in support of 's KYC/AML regulatory compliance policies and programs.
- Document Client Due Diligence / Enhanced Due Diligence investigations in written narratives.
- Review and validate client documentation including corporate formation documents, beneficial ownership information, and regulatory licenses.
- Assess client risk ratings based on established risk assessment frameworks.
- Utilize various investigative tools and databases to verify client information and conduct background research.
- Escalate high-risk clients or complex cases to senior team members and Compliance as appropriate.
- Respond to automated AML alerts and conduct associated investigations.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Business teams to resolve onboarding issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance systems.
- Stay current on applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent w/ 1+ years relevant experience onboarding regulated clients and conducting AML/KYC investigations and customer due diligence.
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance).
- Knowledge of institutional business such as ownership structures, beneficial ownership, trust and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting findings and narratives.
- Ability to interpret complex corporate structures and regulatory documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Understanding of AML/KYC best practices and red flag indicators.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or similar AML certification.
- Experience in cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
- Knowledge of institutional financial services and prime brokerage operations.
- Experience with adverse media screening and sanctions screening tools.
- Multilingual capabilities for international client reviews.
