Olympic Hills is a private family-oriented golf and social club designed to meet the private, recreational, social, and dining needs of both individuals and families with an avid interest in the game of golf and its traditions.
We are currently looking for an experienced Cook with 3-5 years experience in a kitchen.
- Open availability; able to work mornings, holidays and weekends
- Able to work pantry and dessert stations
- Sets up, prepares and organizes workstation with ingredients, utensils and equipment for the shift
- Breaks down, consolidates and cleans station at the end of each shift
- Has a complete understanding of prep recipes, measurements and specifications
- Ensures that safety standards are met regarding food handling, production and storage.
- Knowledgeable in proper labeling, rotation, cleanliness, and zoning of storage areas.
- Prepares orders in a timely fashion within the timing standards for ticket times
- Self-motivated, works well on individual tasks as well as part of a team
- Works well under pressure and sets the example for professionalism
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment able to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, open to constructive criticism and leads by example
- Able to communicate any needs concerning equipment, small wares, or product.
- Effectively and properly communicates with all front-of-house staff in a timely manner
- Displays a positive attitude, conscious of staff morale and individual performance
- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend, kneel and lift up to 25 pounds or more
Servsafe certification is a plus but not required
Candidate encouraged to recommend ideas for specials
Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
