Title: Reliability Manager - Regional Operations
Location: Charleston, TN; McIntosh, AL or Niagara Falls, NY Plants
Schedule: 9/80 or 5-8s
Focus: As a key member of the site Continuous Optimization and Reliability Excellence (C.O.R.E) Team, the Reliability Manager for the Regional Operations will have leadership accountability for all reliability functions across the Regional Operations.
This role is responsible for leading the reliability strategy for the regional operations. This role manages a team of Reliability Engineers located throughout the regional operations to ensure asset reliability, minimize unplanned downtime, and optimize maintenance strategies across multiple production units. The Reliability Manager will be accountable for achieving the sites' safety, reliability, cost management, and continuous improvement objectives through effective leadership, applying sound management principals and reliability tools and processes, and ensuring effective teamwork. The Reliability Manager partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Improvement, and Project teams to deliver sustainable reliability improvements, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with corporate objectives.
Reliability Manager Essential Job Functions:
Contribute to a strong EH&S and Process Safety Management (PSM) culture and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
Manage and develop a team of Reliability Engineers, providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
Develop, execute and maintain the site-level reliability roadmap, including annual updates to Facility Maintenance Strategy, Turnaround Strategy, and Reliability Opportunity Lists.
Establish cost management structures with actionable improvement opportunities.
Oversee criticality lists, top opportunity and threat lists, and spare parts strategies.
Partner with Operations on long‑term reliability improvements and outages/turnarounds.
Foster a culture of proactive reliability and continuous improvement by developing, leveraging, and implementing best practices for reliability engineering and maintenance optimization. Drive root cause failure analysis and reliability corrective actions.
Drive standardization of reliability practices across the site in alignment with the Center of Excellence (COE) standards.
Track and analyze reliability KPIs to monitor and prevent failures.
Reliability Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree*; Engineering or another technical field strongly preferred
- 10+ years' experience in maintenance/reliability engineering roles; chemical or related manufacturing experience preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously preferred
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing reliability improvement
- Demonstrated use of reliability engineering tools and software
- SAP experience preferred
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US. Driver’s license.
