Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an old age home caretaker at Sevalaya, located in Tiruvallur. The caretaker will provide daily support to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and routine activities, while ensuring their safety and comfort. Responsibilities include monitoring residents’ health status, coordinating with medical staff, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in living areas, and supporting medication routines as directed. The role also involves offering emotional support, engaging residents in light recreational and social activities, and promptly reporting any concerns to supervisors. The caretaker will collaborate with other staff to maintain a respectful, dignified, and nurturing environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong caregiving and patient support skills, including assistance with daily living activities and basic elder care.
- Candidates should possess good communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
- Candidates should possess basic health and safety awareness, including understanding hygiene standards and emergency response procedures.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and follow care routines consistently.
- Prior experience in elderly care, nursing assistance, or working in a residential care facility is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Tiruvallur, including flexible hours as needed, and a strong commitment to compassionate service.
- Basic educational qualifications (such as completion of secondary education); formal training or certification in caregiving or nursing
