Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Structural Design Engineer with strong expertise in SACS software to support the analysis and design of offshore structures across various project phases. The role involves delivering safe, efficient, and code-compliant structural solutions for fixed offshore platforms and related facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of offshore structures using SACS (in-place, loadout, transportation, lifting, and installation analyses).
- Design and assess fixed offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, piles, and related components.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, analysis reports, and design deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with international offshore design codes and standards (API RP 2A, ISO, AISC, DNV, etc.).
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, marine, fabrication, and construction engineers.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, loadout, transportation, installation, and commissioning stages.
- Review vendor documents, fabrication drawings, and installation procedures.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and client/third-party discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7–15 years of experience in offshore structural engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with SACS software is mandatory.
- Proven experience in offshore oil & gas or renewable energy projects.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in SACS (Structural Analysis Computer System).
- Good working knowledge of offshore structural design codes and standards.
- Experience with structural modeling, fatigue analysis, and foundation design.
- Familiarity with fabrication and installation engineering is an advantage.
- Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering data.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with additional tools such as GRLWEAP, AutoPIPE, STAAD, SESAM, or similar.
- Exposure to offshore wind or brownfield modification projects.
