Role Description This full-time Officer/Senior Officer – Production role is an on-site position based in Bavla. The role involves overseeing day-to-day manufacturing activities to ensure that production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include monitoring production processes, maintaining batch records, coordinating with quality assurance and maintenance teams, and supporting process improvements to optimize output and reduce downtime. The Officer/Senior Officer will also participate in line clearance, in-process checks, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), while contributing to training and guidance for production staff. The role requires active participation in audits, implementation of safety protocols, and continuous adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes, GMP, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to follow and improve SOPs.
- Experience in monitoring manufacturing operations, handling in-process checks, and maintaining accurate production and batch documentation.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, and Warehouse.
- Skills in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to support continuous improvement.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and capacity to support training and guidance of production operators and technicians.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field; prior experience in API manufacturing is preferred.
