Role Overview:
The Officer/Senior Officer – Innovation & Skill Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling skill development initiatives within the university. The role involves building strong industry and government partnerships, establishing Centers of Excellence, and mobilizing CSR funding to enhance students’ employability and practical competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute skill upgradation programs and certification courses for students
- Establish Centers of Excellence in collaboration with industry partners and government agencies
- Develop and maintain strategic tie-ups with industry bodies, sector skill councils, and government organizations for skilling initiatives
- Conceptualize and organize bootcamps, hackathons, workshops, and other experiential learning programs
- Build and nurture partnerships with CSR organizations to secure funding for skill development projects
- Manage day-to-day operations of skill initiatives and ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor program effectiveness and continuously improve offerings based on industry trends and feedback
Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant certifications or exposure to skill development frameworks will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of overall work experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in skilling or development sector or related domains
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building abilities
- Excellent program management and organizational skills
- Good understanding of the skilling ecosystem, government schemes, and industry requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
